The Routes of The Thundering Waters

Waterfalls and Wilderness:
Two words that easily go side by side

Whether you decide on traveling through the Boundary Waters or Quetico Park, you will pass some of the most photographic waterfalls we have in our 1500 square miles of wilderness. Although there’s great fishing along the way, these routes are designed more for canoe "trippers" (fishing is an add-on, not the primary trip goal).

Arrive at our lakeside base on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. We’ll review your gear list and food menu from our COMPLETE GOLD Outfitting offerings.

You’ll spend your arrival night in one of our private bunk rooms, and then take a van trip to the landing the next morning. (Quetico paddlers will also have towboat transportation both to and from the Canadian Ranger Station.)

Both routes cover five beautiful waterfalls: from Rebecca, Curtain, Lower & Upper Basswood Falls on the International Border during the Boundary Waters route, to Louisa, Kennebas, Canyon, and Koko Falls in the Quetico.

We can plan your last day to be short enough to get a half day jump on the trip home, or a post-trip overnight bunk room stay over can be added for $15/person.

Save $115 to $155 per person
